1:21 所以，你們要脫去一切的污穢和盈餘的邪惡，存溫柔的心領受那所栽種的道，就是能救你們靈魂的道。
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
1:22 只是你們要行道，不要單單聽道，自己欺哄自己。
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
1:23 因為聽道而不行道的，就像人對著鏡子看自己本來的面目，
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
1:24 看見，走後，隨即忘了他的相貌如何。
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

1:25 惟有詳細察看那全備、使人自由之律法的，並且時常如此，這人既不是聽了就忘，乃是實在行出來，就在他所行的事上必然得福。
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein , he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. deed: or, doing
1:26 若有人自以為虔誠，卻不勒住他的舌頭，反欺哄自己的心，這人的虔誠是虛的。
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
1:27 在　神我們的父面前，那清潔沒有玷污的虔誠，就是看顧在患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不沾染世俗。
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

申命記  30 : 20    Deuteronomy  30 : 20
且愛耶和華─你的　神，聽從他的話，專靠他；因為他是你的生命，你的日子長久也在乎他。這樣，你就可以在耶和華向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許所賜的地上居住。」
That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

妻子告訴我白天發生的一件事。我們的孫女艾蓮娜到我家玩，她玩了一些玩具之後，就想跑去房子的另一邊，此時妻子告訴她：「艾蓮娜，你得先把手裡的玩具放好才可以去。」她不假思索地說：「我沒有時間啊！」
      艾蓮娜只有兩歲，所以她肯定沒有排滿事務的行程表，等著她去疲於奔命！
      這使我想到，是不是有些時候，當上帝聽到我們對祂旨意的反應時，也會感到驚訝？
      比方說，當耶穌說 
馬太福音  11 : 28    Matthew  11 : 28
凡勞苦擔重擔的人可以到我這裡來，我就使你們得安息。
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
而我們卻說：「我活不下去，我有太多麻煩了！」我好奇祂會怎麼想。當祂說：
詩篇  46 : 10    Psalms  46 : 10   
你們要休息，要知道我是　神！我必在外邦中被尊崇，在遍地上也被尊崇。
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
而我們嚷嚷：「我的行程表太滿了，我無法留時間給禰。」我好奇祂會怎麼想。當祂說
彼得前書  1 : 16    1  Peter  1 : 16
因為經上記著說：「你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。」
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.    
而我們說：「這世界看起來充滿樂趣。」我真的很好奇，面對我們的回應，祂會怎麼想呢？
      上帝已經說了，如果我們要榮耀祂；尊榮祂為我們所做的一切；並表明我們有多愛祂，其最好辦法就是遵從祂的旨意。JDB

上主開口已預備我，
祂的聲音確實可聽；
我要樂意穩固順從，
平靜聽話順從主旨。Havergal
